T1/2/3 Set # 2 -
Orchestral/Synth
For his 1993, 1994 and 1995 world tours to promote his 6-million selling "Unplugged... and Seated" album, Rod Stewart hired an 18-piece orchestra (13 strings, 2 French horns, flute, clarinet, and oboe). To "reinforce" the live orchestra, which was difficult to amplify over the rhythm section, the conductor, Elmo Peeler, played the orchestral parts on a controller keyboard with one hand while conducting the live orchestra with the other. To find the very best, most realistic patches available, the conductor tried every synth patch on the market for every leading synthesizer. The patches chosen and used for all (nearly 200 concerts) of Rod Stewart's live-orchestra reinforcement were ManyMIDI's. Specifically, Korg T1/2/3 and Roland JV-880 sounds. They were, and are, simply the best sounds available anywhere. And yes, those Rod Stewart "Unplugged..." synth patches are all included in these definitive libraries from ManyMIDI. Whether you like Rod's music or not, his orchestra sounded like a million bucks!

The 5294 Korg T1/T2/T3 synth patches in these two sound libraries (which also work perfectly in the M1-EX and M1r-EX) are the finest available from any source. Every kind of sound that the synthesizer is capable of producing is included - no type of sound is left out. If you want to make the most of your MIDI studio, these sound banks are exactly what you're looking for - guaranteed!
In 2004 Korg released the Legacy Collection Digital Edition, which includes a software version of the Korg M1. This software runs as a VST or AU plugin and includes all of the original Korg-manufactured ROM sounds. This software can import System Exclusive files (.SYX), which means that these ManyMIDI T1 synth patches can be played in the Legacy Collection Digital Edition.
"Bloody awesome..." - Rod Stewart, London, England
"I can vouch for the fact that it makes much more sense than organizations like Pop, New Age, Rock, Top 40, etc. These names really don't help you find the patch that you have in mind as quickly as having things organized by instrument. Overall, I would say that the patches are an outstanding value. From my experience, ManyMIDI technical support is excellent. If anyone is in the market for patches for synths, I would recommend checking ManyMIDI Products out... A very satisfied customer." - J.A., Urbana, IL
